Arnoglossum reniforme

Known as the ‘Soldier’s Herb’, the leaves of the Great Plantain were used by Roman legionnaires to heal wounds and treat skin diseases; and through the centuries since then it continued to be used as a battlefield dressing and as a remedy for snake bites. The leaf extract, Plantainoil, contains Allantoin, and is rich in triterpenoids, iridoid glycosides and flavenoids, which act as antioxidants protecting the skin against damage caused by UV light and cigarette smoke. Its antimicrobial qualities assist in the healing and prevention of infection.
